the coal loader has a double wound field. there are 2 separate leads for the green and red wire and a double lead the black goes to. the red lead is for closing and raising the bucket to the top. the green lead is for lowering the bucket down. look at the field coil for a bare copper wire near where the red is soldered to. that bare /broken lead is where the green goes to. unless it broke at the fiber insulator, you should be able to unwind 1 layer and resolder the green wire and tape it or shrink tube it. hope this helps
I probably have the same service manual as Larry does, sorry, but no help here either.

There does not seem to be a wiring diagram of the internals of the accessory. If you can post a clear photo of the interior of the accessory, that will be of help.

I have just received an American Flyer 752a and the green wire inside the motor house is loose. I'm not sure where to re-attach it. When power is applied, the clam operates and the solenoid opens the hatch, but the motor won't lower/raise because of the loose wire. Just want to make sure where it's supposed to go! Motor is really clean, as is the entire accessory - very nice! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
