I am now building the mountain in the corner of the layout where the tunnel photos were taken. I installed the profile boards and I am now in the process of putting in a basket weave of cardboard over which I will apply the plaster soaked towels.

I have been off work for the last five weeks due to a work related knee injury and subsequent surgery. The only good thing about the injury is that I have been off work and therefore had more time to do some scenic work on my layout. I will try to include some photos of my layout. Enjoy.Big Smile

This is the tunnel I built first. I wanted a tunnel with walls, ballast and a ceiling in it. I did not want a hollow mountain when I looked into the tunnel. Next I will build the mountain above it.

Below is an overall view of three Lionel buildings in a small business area on my layout.  There is a Hard Rock Cafe, UPS Store and a Market.

Maybe we'll see some of the stash our yorkers obtain while raiding york fair grounds this past few days.

Heres some more work on my layout. ( Lay out is now the full 8' x 16' and 8' x 12 has the carpet down want to build up to that point befor laying last 4' x 8')

Above isn't screwed down below two out tracks are screwed down slow prograss but trying to get it correct.
