THE SOUTHERN SERVES THE SOUTH.
Look harder......it's in another thread posted this morning!
IF IT WON'T COME LOOSE BY TAPPING ON IT, DON'T TRY TO FORCE IT. USE A BIGGER HAMMER.
Great idea Jim.........now if we could just see it on video.
Jim......bet you could turn your PE enhancement into a cottage industry for yourself! Wouldn't have to be confined to PE either as hobos and campfires are enticing additions to any periodic layout scenicing. Sweet!

So many roads, so little time.
Here's the difference...
That would be a good candidate for a youtube video.

That's pretty cool...I'd love to watch that go around the layout!

Great idea!! I wonder if you could do the same thing with all the Lionel Hobo Campfires.

Here's some background...Karen is a retired Kindergarten teacher...every year around this time of the year (especially when it's chilly) she talks about how much she loved to read the story, "The Polar Express", to her students the day before school closed for the Christmas holidays...that, and the fact the stores are putting up Holiday decorations, prompted me to finally add some Polar Express cars to run on the TexASS PissAnt pike.
When she watched the movie she commented about "that poor hobo" and how he needed the fire to keep him warm. And so I thought about modifying the car to give it more realism. I added a "flickering lamp" and a switch controlled MTH fan driven smoke unit which came out pretty nice.
For those of you that have this car, here are some pics showing how I did the mod.
