I have a new one and it operates just fine. It looks good on any traditional train layout. I have a Prewar section of my layout so I have my #97 coal loader near my #840 Powerhouse, #92 floodlight, #270 bridge, #127 station, #437 signal tower and #78 block signal. It fits in nicely

The reissue is ALOT quieter. But thats about it. The rest is pretty much the same. I would buy one of the new ones for the layout.

I'm trying to determine if I should purchase a postwar or reissue of Lionel's Coal Elevator and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts. I want the item for a layout and to use it.

I like to play with my toys.
