Thanks Guys!

Although you will not have a problem with the majority of new recruits.
There WILL be a few who will try to provoke and disrupt.
Mainly they are ignored but sometimes it becomes impossible and flames start.

Kelly and I are the only magazine staffers who have been trained on edting/deleting in the forum, and I check the forum several times a day, but frankly I've never seen anything beyond what I'd consider fair and open discussion. I imagine there will be a first time, but "the regulars" here are pretty good at self moderation!

I have no idea what Bergstrom does along those lines - if he's ever deleted anything from the CTT forum, he hasn't told the magazine staff about it.

As far as I can tell, The person who oversees all 6 forums on this website is Bergie (Erik Bergstrom). But, he does not get involved directly, unless there is a REAL problem.
Nobody really ever moderates these conversations, but we should always assume that someone is watching.

Over on the MR forum there was a topic that was causing problems, and finally Bergie locked it, but that was not an unreasonalbe thing to do under the circumstances. Occasionally the magazine staff members will respond to a topic, and give a definative answer, or just comment. But I have never seen anyone censor member's opinions.

In the event of "fire", it is really up to us to put it out!! There is really nobody to run to here, we need to act in a responsible manor.

This entire group of forums is really very democratic, a fact that has advantages and disadvantages. As long as we are not posting things that are inappropriate in content, views that may be contrary to those of the sponsor or their advertisers have been allowed. Keep in mind that this sponsor is much larger, and has much longer standing in the industry, and therefore may have "thicker skin" toward remarks that smaller competitors would find intolerable.

Ok so who is the moderator / Webmaster of this forum?
Who do we turn to if we want to be a pain butt? [:D]
Are there any rules to follow? Except for common sense.
