Obviously the idea proposed here is something addressed to the official CTT gang.

I don't think they need to do anything. I don't recall any free giveaways at the other place. People will post here should they choose to do so. In the time I've been here I've received a number of letters from people explaining their unhappiness with the OGR Forum. Mostly the very reasons I've already mentioned here in other threads.

The 3-rail hobby is more varied than ever before. The hobby should be about fun. The forum should be about connecting with other modelers, whether that be questions, advice, comments, observations. Whether you be operating with TMCC, DCS or conventionally; scale or traditional size; tinplate or hirail; 027 or Super 0. Despite what some would have you believe, there is no right or wrong with any of these choices.

Over the past few months quite a few newcomers have posted questions here. I'd like to think that I and Big_Boy4005, Lionelsoni, Sask Tinplater, Amtrak Jack and others have helped them out. By my observation, that's what this forum is about. NOT about knocking people because of their chosen way of operating or what size of trains or type they operate.

I have felt very welcome here. I hope that continues. The guys I mentioned don't always agree with me - I may not agree with them. BUT there's no name calling or needless insults. One way for this hobby to grow is by making everyone feel welcome. The guy who runs a 4-4-2 Lionel starter set steamer is every bit as much a 3-railer in my book as the guy who runs a Lionel Y-3 scale 2-8-8-2 and deserves equal respect.

Now for my smarty-pants idea: maybe the CTT gang could give away some 027 track and some K-Line Keystone Classic cars!! [:p][:D] That'll keep 'em coming! [^]

Judging from the number of posts lately, it appears that there is a window of oportunity for you guys here at CTT. The disenchanted forumites at OGR are looking around for some "free" space. So in sales parlance you need a "hook" to keep the lurkers at this forum. In the next 30 days you should step it up and put your best foot forward. You know: promotions, incentives, goodies, whatever it takes. We train guys are suckers for "stuff". So the ball is in your court CTT - take it to the basket(okay enough trite analogies).[:D][:D][:D][:D]
