Trains and *** other projects ***
Posted by perry1060 on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 2:07 PM

I've noticed from looking at user profiles and message topics posted on this forum that many here are diverse and into various forms of art and projects in addition to trains.

It seems to me that the same tools and skills required to build a layout and have fun can also be applied to other projects. I for one would love to see pics of anything you guys are working on in addition to train photos.

I'm into designing and building daggers. Of course, I may use these daggers to get the T-rex beast that still lives and roams around on my train layout. Smile [:)]

Wow, Perry - are they made of wood or is that just the sheaths?  Very nice. I bought the bride a full-fledged reproduction sword a while ago.

Doug,

Thanks. They are made of oak, cedar, and poplar wood.

Very cool Perry!  Right now, I just make excuses Wink [;)]  I've been working on my house, but that's been it for some time.  I started making some furniture, but I'm under orders to finish the basement first.

I'm enclosing the bottom of my daughter's play structure.  Roof is in but the walls are still in the garage awaiting window cut outs.

No pics at the moment, but my other big, ongoing project is a USN Guided Missile Cruiser in R/C 1/96 scale.
