Well I made it but I didn't see John. However I saw this old girl and it was well worth the trip. I hope to post more soon.

You say you were out by Horseshoe Curve by Altoona, did you say the Pennsy K4 steam locomotive on display?  The E-8's are nice but I happen to like the K4's and the GG1's in the pennsy fleet.

The K 4 is long gone. It was replaced with a GP 9.

Renovo - thanks for posting your pics.  I was hoping that NS would have brought in 4270 & 4271 too, but my source in Altoona states that thus far they were a no-show.  They did make it on the T-shirts they're selling up there.
