Modeling the "Fargo Area Rapid Transit" in O scale 3 rail.
I don't know if the new Lionel releases are out yet, but I have three of the original K-Line models, I Love em. If you have never run one, these will run on less voltage than many transformers minimum voltage. If you have an MTH Z-series transformer or a Lionel ZW, they will start with a jerk, and you wont be able to throttle them down slow. This is NOT a defect in the locomotive, try a CW-80 transformer, it has a near zero minimum voltage, and the porter will REALLY CRAWL with it. I hear that the Lionel 1033 transformer has a near zero minimum voltage also, and would be a good match too, but I have never had a 1033, so I can't say for sure. They are a very nice little locomotive at a great price, I hope that you enjoy it if you get one, I really like mine.
Smile, Trains are Supposed to be Fun,
Doug.
May your flanges always stay BETWEEN the rails

We had one come in with last week's shipment from Lionel. Also a Plymouth switcher.
