Looking for Specific Cars
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 12:28 PM

I am trying to build a train (O scale) that contains a car for every member of my family.  Has anyone ever seen any type of car with an Italian flag or the Olympic logo?  How about a red/green/white caboose (non Christmas looking)? Having a hard time finding something for my father in law.  Any help would be appreciated.  Do any of the manufacturers take suggestions for future releases?

I took a different approach and got a car made in each year a family member was born.

Where did one do that?  Any places you can suggest?

As for Olympic theme, the only one I am aware of is the Georgia Power set for the 1996 Olympics.  I have one of these.  The boxcar does have the Olympic torch.

The MTH Product Search is a place to start looking for something so unusual.

www.mth-railking.com

Use your search terms, broadly and specifically on the product search.

The LIONEL product search might work for you.

Weaver Models sells undecorated locos and cars that a custom painter could decorate.
