Question about big York, PA. Train show

Will the York, PA. Train show have Ertl Toy diecast farm Equipment??....I am looking for some more 1/64 scale Ertl farm toys and i would like to know if the will have any at the York Train show....thanks guys...really appreciate it!!

I've seen it there.  Can't say I noticed a ton but folks do sell it along with other layout accessories.

In order to attend the TCA train show in York PA, you must either be a member of the Train Collectors Association, or attend as a guest of a member. Guests are only allowed to attend once. A guest must show positive identification, I beleive they do keep track.

try ebay...auction avenue has a lot of this stuff which seem reasonably priced diecast

Not at York, or any other show I've been to. There are other dealers...one has had good prices on Brooklin and Buby (two higher-price brands). Joe

lionel2 - to answer your question, there should be Ertl diecast at YORK...just got to look around.  If diecast anything is what you crave, I recommend you mark your calender for the Sunday after Thanksgiving.  The main hall at YORK Fairgrounds will be wall-to-wall with diecast everything, as well as antique/collectable toys.

Ok, I just checked out the TCA site and I'm confused they say that membership is open to collectors of "tinplate" trains, and then they give the following definition:

""Tinplate" is a term applied to toy trains originally built of thin stamped metal, but more broadly it includes plastic trains as well, their over-riding characteristic being that they were built for mass-market enjoyment rather than the precise scale that some of today's model railroad craftsmen build and enjoy."

Now, I thought that "tinplate" was a reference to trains like Marx etc, (brightly colored, low detail, "toy" looking trains), now are they using a broader definition than what I'm used to or what?

"Tinplate" refers to the material used for the track they all run on.  "Tinplate" as apposed to "Scale Track".

TCA shows are about Trains, or items made by train companies, or items for use in model railroads.  Other toys not invited.   The sheer size of the show, filling an entire Fair Grounds with trains, is worth the trip.
