Question for controlling power up speed for new ZW, Power House, Cab-1 conventional control

I'm the designated troubleshooter for our new club.  Currently 4 seperate loops running off of a New ZW, w/ (2) 180 Watt Power Houses, and using Cab-1 remote with conventional control engines.  Also there is command Base for receiving and future TMCC operations.  Upon Power up the tracks attached to BU and CU on the ZW want to go full speed ahead.  What if anything can we do to have those operate like Au, Du and come up at Zero with the ability to run the trains through the full spectrum of speeds from the Cab-1.  I know default of Bu, Cu is to come on at the lever voltage. We don't want to use them for accesories or lights, we want to use them as additional Track power variable speed outs.  I hope I made our dilema clear.  Also 2nd problem the layout is in a Mall.  Occaisionally train whistles, bell or even the trains themself go off with no input from the Cab-1.  We are guessing this may be due to Walkie Talkies of the guards.  It happens even in the late evenings when the only people around are us and the guards.  Thanks in Advance  Dave

Re the power up function of the ZW.

Please refer to the following pages of the owner manual.

Page 9 describes out of the box operations and why the B and C terminals are behaving the way they are.  Page 11 describes how to control B and C remotely.

BTW, I would suggest looking over the rest of the manual.  There are other features and caveats you might find useful. 

Yes, random signals from radios can cause the horn/whistle to blow or on rare occasions even more bizzare behavior.  Make sure there is a good earth ground for the track signal.

I read the manual 4 x over last night.  I understand that the B&C terminals are designed for accesories, I just wish they gave you the option of them acting like A&D.  If I want 4 powered loops to come up to zero on power up do I need (2) more PH to use for variable track voltage w/ cab-1 or is there another option.  Thanks,  Dave

B and C are programmed to power accessories and their starting voltage is set to be whatever the throttle handle is positioned to. The idea was you could throttle them down. A and D were meant for train control and the throttles are set to zero with the MAX setting reflecting the throttle position.

You should be able to force B and C to be controlled "the other way" by using Halt or reset commands at power up.
