Hi all, I have a 3rd Rail PRR T-1 from 2000 that I want to add command control to. I was told by TrainAmerica Studios that they no longer offer the UCUB II. Digital Dynamics still offers the Equalizer, but I don't see where they specifically state that it will work in non-MTH engines with QSI sound. So I wondered if anyone out there has done this conversion, and how it worked out for you.
By the way, the reason I don't want to change out everything and go with straight TMCC/RS is because I don't care for the RS articulated sound set, which I heard on TA's website. For better or for worse, I like the original QSI sounds that simulate the poppet valves of the prototype.
Thanks,
Joel
I used a TAS-3000 board to upgrade a steamer I have that had a QSI3000 system. I was able to keep the QSI sound board, it plugged into the TAS board & I now run it with tmcc.
