Hello everyone,
I'm sure this is probably a silly question, but for those of you out there who have custom painted your own cars, is there any specific paint to use that is better than others, or is there a good "how to" technique out there?
I havent painted a model in probably close to 20 years and all I used to use before were the little Testers paint jars, and I usually did a poor job of it. Of course back then I thought it was great!
I want to paint some cars with "girly" type colors for my duaghter and just want to try and do it right. I picked up a few really cheap cars at a show today to practice on. Thanks everyone,
PJ
Your best bet is still testors, but use spray. There is a nice collection of colors, even some pinks in the car lines. With these you don't have worry about priming. You can use almost any brand of spray paint but I advise to spary prime them first as a lot will craze the platisc.Make sure you sand the car and get down past the impresions left by the printing process or you will see the old lettering as a ghost under the paint.
