lionel canceled the k-line engines
Posted by jchase1970 on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 9:24 PM

I read that lionel canceled the k-line by lionel pacific loco and the k-line by lionel switcher.  I was wanting to get these it's a pitty.  I wanted a k-line by lionel train set and to be honest I like the look of the new logo.

If you are talking about the B&O pacif, I wouldnt get it.  I just got the orignal k-line for 100 dollars more and comparing it to the kline by lionel version it pales in comparison.  The orignal k-line pacifc has more sepretly applied detailsand is scale.

They cancelled those engines from the 2006 vol. 2 catalog. Those were the ones with the hideous graphics and outrageous pricing.

Are yoy talking about the S2 switcher?   I hope not.  If so, what's with them?  Why take it over at all??

These were announced as cancelled months ago! These were the loco with the "K-Line by Lionel" swoop logo painted on them in the Lionel 2006, Vol2 catalog.

The engines in the 2007 catalog are still on schedule. The B&O Pacific in this catalog uses original K-Line tooling.
