O scale brick or retaining walls?

Does anyone make rock or brick retaining walls for O scale? I have a design for my layout that I like. And for one section a long retaining wall would be a good shortcut for me.

That is a very good company. The selection of scenery products is unbelievable!

The pieces aren't cheap if you need a lot of em.  I made my own from 1" styrofoam.  I cut the size of the wall and then used a small saw for the horizontal lines(mark em 1st with a pencil,etc).  For the vertical, I used a screwdriver, alternating the lines to look staggered like real walls.  After that, I roughed up the smooth face with the round part of a wood file.  Then, a coat of white or gray flat paint to get into the grooves. When it's about 1/2 dry, I smeared  black paint to give it a dirty, gray stone colored look with the white mortar cracks underneath.  It came out nice and the price was right,too!

Definitely get your hands on a Scenics Express catalog! It's pretty much a bible when it comes to scenery products, and if you can't find what you need there, you probably won't find it at all.  VERY good folks to deal with.

I have one of their earlier catalogs in front of me right now, and am looking at about six pages of various types of stone and brick walls.

Scenic Express sells sheets of brick and stone paper made by Noch of Germany. The sheets are something like 4 1/2" wide by 28" long. I used the brick ones to build my retaining walls because the stone ones were not yet available.

The bricks and stones are embossed on the paper so they have a 3-D finish to them. Best of all for me, because the walls line a grade, all I had to do was trace the grade on the back with a pencil, cut with scissors, and glue on!

In minutes I had many FEET of retaining wall installed!

Allan was right-on when he said that their catalog is the bible of landscaping. And the products are as good, if not better than the pictures.

Micro-Mark sell similar sheets like that,that are about 6" X 9" with adhesive backing that works quite well.

The "Tip" on using styrofoam is good also, especially if you put a reasonably light 

coat of "Dry Wall Mud" on them, and then scribe lines with an X-Acto knife; then  do the "wash" with black, or whatever color you want to use for the joint lines.

 

EDIT//: I had meant to add, that before  you scribe joint lines or use any "wash",

 of course paint the walls whatever color you need too. Polly S's  Concrete,

or Aged Concrete do a very creditable job.

You can print out brick or stone walls pretty easy with Model builder software by evan designs in any scale or size you want and it is so realistic it is unbeleiveable.
