Snaptrack switches in K-line catolog

Are they pretty compatible with most trains? Any issues with them are they as good better or worse than Ross switches?

The snap track switchs have a good many followers and I haven't heard anything bad about them.  Ross, and Curtis, are the Cadilacs of the hobby.  If I remember correctly you have to snip off the loops from the K-Line Snap Track to connect it with other tubular track.

You will probally need the Snap Track adapter sections as Snap Track has small contact points that mate together instead of track pins, track pins may be able to be substituted and the small plastic pieces cut off but I will not guarrenty it.   Look at the track ends before doing anything.

3 rail 031 tubular to snap tracks is a snap (pardon the pun).  Just snip off the plastic tabs and substitute normal 031 metal pins. 

I believe some of the K-line snap track came with adaptor pieces but I could be wrong.  

I have two of the 031 switches and they work great with my Beeps, Plymouths, and starter level steam engines.  I would love to get more!

Jim they are in the new k-line by lionel catalog no idea when they will hit the lhs's they also have 0-72 switches.

The supersnap switches come with a adapter for using pins so they mate up with any tubalur o scale track.  I have used them for a little over a year and have not had any problems. I really like  k-line supersnap track but because it was getting difficult to find I started to buy fastrack and now I have a large selection of each and I am using mostly the fastrack now because of more varity.  I don't have a perment layout and just take over the upstairs when I set things up.  My son and I love running the trains in and out of the five bedrooms and the den and down the hall, but my wife isn't as in love with it as we are.  There is only one complaint I have about the K-line swithes, they take a higher the average operating voltage, so I always run a seperate power for them from the aux. power.

yep, just like that.  You know you spend so much time and work on it and you hate to take it up.  But, I do love to set different layouts every time.  All of my were just put up about a week ago, I keep them out for about a week and then place them back on the shelves again. Although now you have gone and got me itching to get them back out again. lol
