AIU wiring question, Need help!

Hello once again, I'm trying to wiring a light tower, 2 wires, to the AIU. I've added it successfully, but my wiring must be wrong. I've jumped a wire from the IN on channel 1 to the IN on channel 2. Nice folks at MTH said that would be fine. One wire coming from the light is connected to the ground, the other is inserted into one of the empty slots by the IN on channel 2. Nothing happens when I hit ON on the remote. What did I do wrong? Thanks, Jake

I think you are missing something, you need power!  If you are running this off of track power and want the light all the time, the AIU isn't necessary.  If you want to be able to turn the light on and off then the AIU can be used.  I would wire it this way.  Power from track, or acc on transformer to the accessory, Common either from the transformer or track to the AIU, then out of the AUI to the accessory.

Not sure if this correct, but it works. I powered up a terminal block, took the common to the accessory, then the other wiring coming out of the accessory to Channel 1 on the ACC. and power to the IN on ACC. Does that sound right? When putting a fast blow fuse inline to keep from cooking the AIU, where should it go? Thanks, Jerry
