What a coinkydink!  Due to channel shuffling from our cable provider, as of yesterday we now get AMC.  Will have to watch this tomorrow at 6 am.  Thanks for the heads up.

Watched it myself. Was a good movie.  I loved that line, save me from the Presbyerians.

grew up watching Ernest Borgnine, thought he was mean in From Here to Eternity, but he's just EVIL in Emperior.

Great movie!  Watch for a sale on deepdiscountdvd and you can pick it up for like $6 with free shipping and handling.  EB was in a lot of great movies and so was Lee Marvin.

John, I watched that on TMC a few years ago and then they had a follow up documentary about the real ship/battle.  It was very cool.  Apparently the Germans claimed for years that the crew had opened the seacocks an scuttled the ship.  If memory serves, they did a dive on the wreck and found holes that would have sunk it, but also that there were opened seacocks?!?  I think, too, that there was some question as to whether the British stayed around as long as they could have to pick up survivors, or if they left men in the water that could have been saved?  I might be getting that confused with another documentary though.  Didn't the Bismarck sink a British ship that had some royals onboard -- a cadet training ship?

I watched it yesterday morning, had to chuckle at the scene of the baptismals. Did anyone else notice that the screen got a bit fuzzy in a specific area when the camera was on the young lady ?  Blush [:I]  Evil [}:)]
