Those #022 switches throw off a jolt - have to protect the people at Lionel Lines. Whipped up this remedy:

Frank.....That's a great idea. I like it. Your detail is outstanding.

I may give that a try, myself. ( Love your tubular track )

Okay, now I don't want to see any more complaints about the size of Lionel O27 switch machines!...;-)

It's the super conductivity of tubular track which may lead to frying innocent bystanders, or in this case, mealting the little plastic folks. However, with the proper safety precautions to shield the public from the high power capability of tubular, you can fully avail yourself of the operating advantages of tubular.

ps: Your tubular track is g-r-e-a-t too, Chuck! You are obviously a fellow with discerning taste who appreciates fine products. Big Smile [:D]

Well, at least you guys won't have to install switch heaters if it snows & freezes up on your RRs with all that High Voltage present !!  Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]

That is really nice though !! Great work !!

Thanks, John

frank53: I thoroughly enjoy all your posts and pix. That is an amazing layout.  Plenty of inspiration for me when I get to built my layout one o' these days.  It's almost going to be a shame to see yours finished.  So you'll just have to keep posting.

I also like the look of the tubular track.  I don't know why.  Maybe because it doesn't pretend to (unconvincungly) look like 2 rail.
