Hallmark Lionel display trains

Anyone ever take one of the Hallmark static displays and power it up? I got snookered into buying one, and am wondering if I can do that.

I believe that those are TT scale (120:1), which is now close to extinct. That could be a problem.

TT is NOT extinct! In fact, it is resurging, partially as a response to kits developed to power the Lionel 1:120 scale diesels (and, soon, the steamers). Check out the yahoogroup dedicated to TT modelling (and follow the links to the main TT pages on the web): TTSMR@yahoogroups.com

While here in North America TT isn't very common, it's still quite popular elsewhere in the world, especially in Western Europe. I have a few of those Hallmark ornaments myself. I think that they might be a bit small for TT. Of course there are other Hallmark Lionel trains that are larger, so perhaps that's what you have. I still think that it's a neat project and would like to see it done.

Actually it was one of the bigger, I assume O guage displays. Turns out I got the seller to cancel the deal so I'm off the hook. Thanks for the responses.
