So, Where's the FLORIDA GATORS train set?

I asked the above question when y'all were touting the OSU train set.  It would be nice for the SEC to be better represented in the Toy Train Environment.  It probably won't happen, but I guess they will have to make some after market bunting for the OSU set for all those in mourningBig Smile [:D]Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]Blindfold [X-)]Whistling [:-^]

aye yi yi, I'm no U of F fan by any stretch, but they whipped those boys like they had looked crossways at their mommas.

Now I've got to hear all these hillbilly homers down here blubbering over this for the next hundred years.

I'm a pretty avid pro football fan, and thankfully, as a New Year's Resolution, I gave up posting on the two football forums I belonged to.

Wow.  You guys are cold!  Being a Northwestern fan, I am typically pretty quiet when it comes to football.  However, I do root for the B10/11 during the bowl season.  The results speak for themselves, the conference got a severe butt whoooping.

As with Proto 1 engines, maybe MTH can offer an "upgrade" to the Buckeye set to convert it to UF colors. Wink [;)]

I am by no means a Gator fan (quite the opposite, really) but one has to give them credit; they absolutely took tOSU to school last night.

The South is Football Country!  they take it very seriously here.  The SEC is a very tough league, with no walk in the park no matter which team you play.  The biggest problem with this conference is that the teams that do make it to the bowl games have been beaten up the whole season.  It is rare for a SEC team to be really healthy by this time of the year.  I think that if the train manufacturers made some sets with the SEC teams, they would sell really well in the department stores....like I said, they take football real serious in these parts.

PS: Dr. John, Reggie played for Bama before the pros.  He is a bit humble though and doesn't get all full of himself.

I'm not an OSU fan, but I think it's cool that MTH made a train in their colors.  I would like to see more teams represented.  I'd love a Maryland Terps train.  Now that would be cool.

The Gators just showed what I've believed for the last three years of watching Big 10 (11) football:  It's a weak conference.  The toughest competitors OSU faced this year were Michigan and Texas, and Michigan scored 38 points against them.  So in their last 2 games OSU gave up 79 points.  They were no match for the speed of the Gators defense.  Smith was used to outrunning defensive players when he scrambled.  And I swear FLA had 12 guys on the field; seemed like every play they had an unblocked defender in the backfield.

Don't get me wrong tho. OSU took care of business this season, beating everyone they were supposed to. But the conference needs more competition. Illinois is getting better and Wisconsin shows promise again too. So maybe in a couple of years???

D'ems is da breaks.

i wouldn't say overrated. he's a great college coach as he led the lsu tigers to a national champioship. on the other hand dealing with the nfl he's dealing with grown men out there and not little boys. men who make more than he did or does you have to be careful of how you talk to them. as a coach will get dispersed of faster than a player. as in college he has the fianl say so with the players. as they have to do what he says or they will be gone and not the coach. so its more of a who's got control on different levels. college level the coaches/professional level more so the players. it takes a different/special coach to coach in the nfl. but i definitly wouldn't say overrated. i think he just didnt really know what he was getting into as the nfl is more business orriented than college.
