MTH Ohio State train set
Posted by CSXect on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 4:53 PM
I went to M&S trains and saw one running, Mom who has never took much of an intrest in my trains was blown away by the sounds and looks of this train. I bought it with my Chirstmas money. By the way M&S will have more water towers and billboards next week.

I haven't seen that set, but as an Ohio State alum (two times) and former faculty member, I guess I should take a look at it at some point.  It probably would be a real attention-getter running in my office on the Virginia Tech campus.

It is a real attention-getter anywhere.  I have never seen or better yet heard anything like it.

Lionel has just started a collegiate series of boxcars.  With MTH already tied into Ohio State,  we might not see a Lionel Ohio State boxcar, but then again, $$$$ can change everything.

Hey Buckeye, I just ordered my Lionel 6-11109 C&O 0-8-0 Switcher! Big Smile [:D]

And the PSU Boxcar is SWEET!

It will look awesome with the 1982 National Championship Boxcar, tanker, and hopper cars I have!  After I have the X-mas layout taken apart and in the basement for rebuilding, I plan to start the overhaul on the damaged 2020 I am turning into a PSU Turbine complete with TMCC!

I'll post pics of it when it is completed!

Laugh [(-D] I have all my posting options back but I did nothing to get them back hmmmm......well any way I have packed up my OSU train untill I get my layout built...., left the track on kitchen table to messs witrh some other trains I have. My Texas special will only run  in reverse when it does run, will have to clean and lube it and see if it will run better. how easy is it to replace a e-unit with an electronic version just incase?

If the Buckeyes win the national championship, I'll buy one of those MTH sets to display in my office (at Virginia Tech).  If they don't accomplish that feat, I'll use the money for some other items that I have my eye on. Smile [:)]
