Expansion in the New Year?
Posted by pbjwilson on Saturday, December 23, 2006 12:41 PM

Christmas is but a couple days away. The New Year will be upon us shortly. Being the dead of winter and spending more time than I should below ground level, I cant help but think of expanding the layout. Pre- Christmas basement cleaning, getting rid of old toys, and clothes has opened up a small amount of space in my "lower level". So I have been thinking and planning for expansion.

How 'bout you guys. Expansion in the future? What are your plans? Any new land acquisitions in the attic, spare bedroom, or basement. Have you sufficiently spoiled your wife with riches and jewels to bribe her into giving a little bit of room for your railroad empire?

The New Year. Good to see it coming. A fresh start. New railroad ambitions. Best to you and yours, and your railroad in the NEW YEAR.

Yep...when the Chrsitmas tree comes down, the 4X8 morphs into four 4X8s in the rec room. Can't wait to get the 072 locos running!!!! Big Smile [:D]

Expansion is in the works here too.  I will be adding a switch to make another parking area for my F7's.  I will be using existing real estate though.

Also the wife and I are planning on buying a condo for a winter home in Nevada.  We are renting here now so I do not have any trains out here.  That will change once we get our condo next fall.  I will just have a small loop of track out here though.  But that is better than what I have now.  Big Smile [:D]

I too am in the process of cleaning out the basement to make more room for a bigger layout.  Gotta clean out and paint too.

As far a bribing the wife....Don't have to!  As long as the bills get paid, I get all the Big Boy Toys I want!  Trains, electronics, big screen TV...It's all good.  In fact, she likes the big screen as much as I do...That's why I married her!
