The boolean logic operators don't seem to work as inputing "K-Line AND F-7" into a search engine (without quotes) brings up any post with K-Line in it, not narrowing it down to posts with both in it.  Anyways, I'm looking at buying an A-A set and was looking for opinions here.  Does anyone know of any threads on the issue?

 Thanks,

Ryan

oryan_dunn ,

I do not know of any recent threads. One might find some discussion by digging deep into CTT and OGR forums.

If you are looking for K-Line F7's, Just Trains in Newark, Delaware still has them for sale. The Just Trains guys are reliable venders from my personal experiences and were fantastic to deal with when an error occured in a shipment to me last year. Real straight-up guys.

From what I recall on K-Line F7 reviews is that these were really nice units, good paint, and a bit speedy since K-Line tended towards high gearing for top speeds (I seem to recall something like >150 smph at full voltage).

I love K-Line engines ! The problem they had they gave us too much for the money .  Lionel was smart buying them out ! I have a feeling since they're gone --- their engines --- especially the few manufactured high end ones are going to jump to the collector's list before long . My advice is to grab any cheap and hold onto the ones you have . Once their engines and top end rolling stock is gone --it's gone ! This old man has seen this before --- first dealers dump their merchandise --- then WHAM !

I'd love to get the full Midnight Chief ABA - 9 car set, but I don't have the money for that now.  I just was looking for opinions as my local shop has some older model F-7s from '00 or '01 I think and got fustrated with the search engine here.
