Looking for length and width of Plasticville buildings
Posted by Birds on Friday, December 15, 2006 10:33 AM

I have been trying to find the foot print dimensions (length and width) for Plasticville buildings, but no one seems to post them – including Bachman's website.

I am trying to plan the large scenery on my layout and want to make sure how items will fit in and around the track plan.

Would anyone be willing to post the dimensions of the following if they have any of them (or point me to a site that does have dimensions)?

  • Diner
  • Union Station
  • Cape Cod house
  • Two story house (not split level)
  • Two story house (split level)
  • School
  • Cathedral
  • Police station
  • Motel
  • Frosty bar

Thank you very much.

Here's the diner. It's roughly 3x8".

Diner 8.5 x 3

Union Station  without platform 9.75 x 6.38

Cape Cod House 5.38 x 4

Two story house Colonial 9.75 x 5.25

Two story House split level 10.25 x 6.38

School 10.25 x 4.25

Cathedral 7.38 x 6.88

Police Station 6.75 x 6.75

Motel 9.50 x 4.75

Frosty Bar 4.5 x 5

Thank you all for the dimensions!  This is a tremendous help right now.

Jim, thank you for sharing that RR Track has these dimensions.  I don't have the program so was not aware of what information their building libraries contained.

Yes a very old post.  But since it is a useful post,  I thought I'd tie onto the original rather then start a new one.

Anyone have the dimensions of the Plasticville Corner Store (catalog number 1626)?
