When we reply "Hobby Lobby has a coupon" or I purchase mail order at ___________ , does that violate the policy?

Sorry if a couple of my recent posts on some threads were offensive. That wasn't my intention. I think the partisan feelings/loyalty some have to certain manufacturers and types of trains, along with some threads that were obvious "trolling"  to stir up some controversy, also helped add to the fire. I've already added a censor to my two index fingers (hehe) to make sure I don't step in the poop again.

Peace on Earth and on the forum. Well...at least on the forum Big Smile [:D] Thumbs Up [tup]

Maybe my posting about Model Builder Software is the problem|??????? But it is an awsome modeling tool.Sign - Oops [#oops] I just did it again. I just want to share the neat stuff that can be done with it. If this is indeed the problem then I will stop.

CSXect - From my way of thinking you are not selling the product but sharing useful information with fellow model railroaders.  If however you were the creator or author of the software that would be a violation of the policy.

I think it in response to umpteenth post blatently promoting Yahoo Groups Super-O forum, FasTrack Forum, Scrambled Egg Forum, etc, etc.

Seems like an every couple of week event where the three O-Gauge Forums will all be spammed with the exact same cut and paste message about FasTrack is the track system of the new millenium and Super-O Track has made a comeback and blah, blah, blah. Personally, I found these posts an annoyance and their intent transparent.

But then again, the boys north of the Mason Dixon line have dubbed me an undesirable hooligan as well . . .

Boy am I glad we cleared up the posting guidelines.  I post here because it is for trains and I train my dogs often.  Dogs are so much better than cats.  Why the blankety blankety blank would anyone want *&^#$%^ cats anyway.  Have you seen my Cat blog at www.catsareterrible.com.  Many like minded follks are there all discussing how bad dogs (oops I ment cats) are.   It is so much better with much more training information than this train forum where the are talking about toys!  Buy the way GEORGE BUSH AND REPUBLICANS rule!  Or is it the DEMOCRATS?  Now I remember...only the Libertarians have a reasonable party platform.  Don't you agree?

PLEASE respond if you are familiar with the new religion worshiping Dogs over cats.  What is it with $%$## cats anyway?  Please respond with your agreement otherwise I will know you are a jerk!

P.S. Don't forget to pet your dog and check out my blog at www.catsareterrible.com.  And please checkout my ebay listing selling dog train items at ebay.dogtrain.com or call 1-800-dogsrule to get on my mailing list or buy all my useless stuff.

There was no single reason for posting this listing, and it should now be up on all forums. Just a lot of little problems kept cropping up, which suggested it would be good for Erik to post the guidelines in each forum area as a reminder.

Good!  It needed saying because it's the politeness, helpfulness and kindness evident by the posts and responses of the long term majority that keep this forum the best by far IMHO.

Another reason the South will win the next Civil War if there was one is that the North has outsourced 85% of the jobs to overseas. My 2 cents [2c]

Don't count Florida in on the South's side as more and more people are moving away from Florida due to insurance company price gouging!

- No swearing or foul language. And we don't care if you use symbols to mask the words. The meaning is still conveyed and we don't want it in our forum. Please keep in mind that we have readers of all ages. This isn't a tavern.

- No personal attacks or name-calling. Please keep conversations cordial. We understand that there will be differences of opinion. Please don't let those differences turn ugly. Accept that others might not have your same point of view, don't sink to personal attacks. Nothing is gained by doing so.

Thanks for posting the rules of engagement, unfortunately, a few step out of line from time to time.  Beyond the occasional tift, I have never met a group of kind, fun, and interesting individuals as we have on this forum.  It is good that we should all have the open exchange of information and the ability to get honest opinions from such a diverse group.  I have learned a lot in the last few years about model railroading and most of it from the rest of you.  I have also gotten to a point where I feel informed enough on many topics raised to add to the discussions.  Thanks to CTT and thanks to the posters that make this site what it is.

Regards,

Dennis

No Advertising: Does this include saying something positive about existing corporations or clubs where the poster has never been an employee?

Any publicity for a product could be considered advertising by a strict definition.

Ok, I’ll respect the rules of their house. Now will this corporation respect the rules of my house? NO unsolicited mediums, items etc. wanted in my mailbox.

"Amen" is an English interjection from Middle English, from Old English, from Late Latin, from Greek, from Hebrew, used to express hearty approval, which is what I intended to express.  http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/amen

"Xmas" is an old abbreviation for the word "Christmas", not a newly coined secular alternative, as often supposed.  The "X" is actually the Greek letter chi, standing for "Christ", which is why it is properly capitalized.  If you're looking for another name for the holiday, yule have to come up with something else...;-)

Happy Festivus, everyone!
