O-gauge structures

I appreciate the many suggestions I received.  I was also informed about MTH's structures.  Do they work with Lionel layouts?  Any comments on them?

There is no reason why you can't use MTH accessories with lionel layout. They are more detailed than say a k-line or bachmann structure.

Oh, I just love some of their structures (MTH) & I have their McDonalds & the Lemonade Stand so far !! They are very detailed, plus I have the K-Line Diner that smokes & lights up, sings an Elvis song & has people & tables in it !!

Thanks, John

I have a number of them, they are fantastic!  Various levels of complexity and cost, including neon signs, activity, very impressive!!!

Don and John, would you guys sometime post a photo of your diners.  I would like to have a diner on the layout.  Do you know the model number?  Can you change the music the diner plays?  Tom described for me how MTH engines can play music from an IPOD, so I was wondering if there is a dinner that can do the same thing.

Here is my K-line diner !! I think the model # is K 42404-100A . No, you can't change the tune it plays, Elvi's Twist song !  It really smokes up a storm, too & lights up. I'll try to post a better picture !

Thanks, John

Here's picture of it smoking ! I use JT's frying bacon scent in it !!

There's one way to get the music there if you want to do a bit of wiring ... run a mini speaker wire to your building .... install a small speaker ... and at the other end cut the end off a dollar store headphone set and wire it to the plug . It'll plug into any ipod or mini player/recorder and you can add any sounds or music you want !
