New tinplate club forming near Erie PA!!!!!
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, October 23, 2003 4:07 PM
Hello everybody, I am starting a tinplate train club near Erie PA. The main focues of the club will be tinplate trains made by Bassett Lowke, Bing, Marklin, Lionel, Marx, Hafner and many other smaller brands, but all makes and models of O scale trains are welcome. Club format is to be determined but will probably be of a round robin style, meeting at members homes once or more a month. We have 3-4 local train shows which a portable layout could be exhibited as well as a large mall that has many stands and displays at Christmas time. I am including my email and home number so that CTT can publish a listing ( I hope ) to help others find this great new club! My email is bassettlowke2@hotmail.com, or chevy_tuff@adelphia.net. Home phone is 814-474-1496. Please contact me if your intersted in joining and having some fun. You dont have to have a layout or even any trains to join, just a love of old toy trains is all that is needed, then we can help those without trains purchase what they would like. Cheers Mike Toney.

Greetings. I live in Erie Pa. This is great news that someone is starting a club. I am not into tinplate too much, but it is about O gauge trains. I have often thought about starting a club of sorts also. Just never really thought that there would be much interest. I will contact you offline.
