I made a half @$$ed comment the othe night to some guy who is possibly approaching the burn out stage who was wondering if more trains, mean more happiness.  Be careful as to what you say/type/think because it will come back and bite you. I saw a N.I.B. (never run) 1993 Lionel Reading FM Train Master (18309)on the ever so evil e-Bay from TrainZ (reputable people from what I have experienced and heard).  There was less than and hour left and I "knew" that the price would sky rocket within the last few seconds.  I haphazzardly placed a bid for $3 more so I could watch it or find out tomorrow how much it went for. I just won a Williams Reading 5 car Madison set from TrainZ from e-Bay and ordered a Williams Reading FM Train Master (livery scheme never existed to my knowledge, but a lot more snazzy looking than what the real ones or Lionel's looked like) from Just Trains in Newark, DE.. There goes at least $340 with shipping that I didn't need to spend on something that may never hit the tracks under the tree.  I call over the better half (that probably has contacted a lawyer this week due to me needing a new train every Christmas) to watch the last 2 minutes of the auction.  I have my 02/05  Classic Toy Trains mag. in front of me stating the Greenberg "New" value is $290.  "See Sweety, a $140 for a Lionel replica is a good deal!!"  The seconds wind down, and the vien in her neck sticks out like Barney Fife on crack!!!  I win!!!!  $132.50 for a N.I.B. Lionel 18309....not too shabby!!  I do have the money, but really at this point and time it could/should go elsewhere along with the other $340+.  Christmas is right around the corner, and I hope that I'm off the couch by then, but will probably get a hunk of coal for Christmas!!  Did Reading ever run dual FM's on there passenger trains??? If so, did they run them back to back, or nose to butt?

Don't know if Reading Company ever ran two FM's together, maybe the Reading Company Historical Society may help you on that, they have a website but I don't know of it off hand.  The Reading Company Historical Society has an office on Center Street in Leesport PA, I don't know the address.

Williams trains makes some good quality trains, one draw back is that you don't get TMCC or DCS electronics from Williams.

I have several locomotives from Williams and really like them a lot, three GP9's two Pennsy and one Reading, two SD45's one Pennsy and one Reading, an S-2 Pennsy, F-7 ABA Santa Fe with matching passenger consist.

RMT makes some nice RDC(rail diesel cars, self powered by diesel engines) cars for many roadnames even Reading Company, Reading is listed under special runs.  Had my RDC car for almost a year and have no problems as yet, also RMT stuff is not TMCC or DCS ready.
