I remember being aghast in previous years of this publicity-gimmick (mind you, a good one for the museum) when Lionel was unchosen. Lots of interesting previous choices...

It's about time!   They've been around 106 years & finally someone decided to nominate them. Another plus for our hobby as this will help let folks out in the public know that Toy Trains are still made & sold in the Marketplace. Take Care.

I have just recently gotten back into model trains after about a 50 year absence.  Getting back into Lionel trains has brought back so many memories of my past with my dad which has long past.  I loved him dearly and he was the one that got me stated in trains in the first place.  I never seemed to have the time place or the money to get back into the hobby.  Now I have a place and I have the time but still no money.  When I heard of the induction this morning I really could not control my emotions.  Its is a ceremony long long past due and congratulations Lionel an event well deserved.
