Unbelieveable progress. You are doing a fine job.
Now if you would just get some post war trains on there . . .

As always, great shots everyone! Anyway, enjoying the last of the autumn foliage, both on and off of the layout:
Jon, I'm drooling over that Climax! Out of curiosity, what's its max curve radius?
Marty,
Does your 60 trolley have the motormen that appear in the end windows? That is one of the best I've seen. Be careful if you take the brushplate off the motor. There is a ball bearing on top of the armature shaft. It is very easy to lose. To remove the plate. unsolder the wires from their terminals, take out the two screws, but don't remove the brushplate yet. Hold it on and turn the frame upside down. Now the plate can be pulled down and removed without losing the bearing. The trolley will not run well if the bearing is missing.

When is the open house?

its an open invite. whenever you are coming to memphis, tn. just give me a little notice ahead of time and you are welcome to check it out. notice give me at least weeks notice unless its one of those trips your boss sends you on spur of the moment. like i said you are welcome.
Great pics. I am especially fond of the Climax and wish Lionel made one.
Reggie, wow!
If I'm ever mad enough to ride my motorbike from New York all the way down to your neck of the woods, Reggie, I have GOT to see your layout! Don't worry there's not much chance of THAT happening! It sure does look like its gonna be a champ though. Are you going for 'realism' or will you have more of a 'toy train' layout with lots of operating accessories and such? Or a bit of both?
