Check these out!

These are HO gauge, but they're lithographed tinplate and so certainly qualify as toy trains.  In any case, I simply had to share this!  These are made by Paya, a Spanish toy company that was at one time the country's largest and in its heyday made a variety of exquisite O gauge tinplate trains of a quality comparable to Marklin.  By the time these were made, though, O gauge production had finished.  These would have come from a low-end starter set, most likely with a wind-up engine.

I don't think I've ever come across any tinplate trains that are quite as...like...far out, man...as these!  They look like they might have been used to transport The Beatles or The Mammas and The Papas while on tour.

Peace out, everybody!

Hello Sask!   Maybe Paya made a Beatle's Yellow Submarine Flatcar to go with these Boxcar's. It's safe to say they were not used to transport Grit's on Spain's Railway's.Clown [:o)]Clown [:o)]Clown [:o)] Take Care.
