I was able to download and play the sounds.  The Locomotive at Railroad Crossing should be a good one to play when in the back seat of a vehicle with an unsuspecting driver.Evil [}:)]  On second thought that might cause panic and the results could be bad.Oops [oops]

Does anyone know how a person gets the ringtone onto the cell phone? I really should NOT be allowed to have a cell phone or other such devices. Jake

Good question Fred,  I have no idea.  You really need to ask some one about 15, the kids are doing this all the time.  Big Smile [:D]  Colin, where are youQuestion [?]

John,  Thanks for the information.  I am using my FIL cell phone, I'm sure he will enjoy the new ring tone when he gets it back.  (If I can figure out how to install it tomorrow)

John - thanks for the link!

Screen savers and wall papers are great way to advertise for little cost.  Hmm, maybe Lionel should consider a few screen savers??

I selected the locomotive at Railroad Crossing for a ring tone - can not wait for someone to call me!  Also have a new screen background to boot.

It took a while, but I finally figured out how to get the crossing sounds set as the ring tone on my phone too.

Can anyone help me with getting these sounds on to my cell phone? Do you have to have a media patch cord? Thanks, Jake

Fred,

Often the cellular provider will have information on their web site.  You could also try google.com - I suggest starting with a search on your phone model and "ring tones".  There are usually forums or other folks that have the same phone that have posted information / tips.

I have a Sprint PPC 6700 so I had an easy time of it.  I browsed to the site with my phone, downloaded the ringer and through the file menu I was able to select "Set as ringtone".

Hope this helps.

I'll look on AllTel's website to see what I can find. I called AllTel, they said it could not be done. My phone is capable, but no way to access the ringtone from what they say.  How did you find the ringtone from your phone? Thanks, Jake
