K-Line trestles for FasTrack

I didn't have good results with the FasTrack trestle set and took it back to the dealer.  I know I can use the regular Lionel trestles and screw the FasTrack onto them but it appears that they may be undersized for the job.

I'm now looking at the possibility of using K-Line trestles (K41812) with Fastrack.  They are available on the internet but I don't know whether they would work any better than the regular Lionel trestles.

Does anyone have any idea whether the K-Line trestles would be a good alternative?

I just picked up a set of the graduated trestles (K-41811) to use with O27.  The instruction sheet says these were intended for use with traditional tubular, Atlas O, K-Line shadow, etc  - no mention of bedded track like Fastrack or MTH's version.  The width of the trestle top is @ 1/32 of an inch shy of 3 inches (or 2 & 31/32" wide).  So how wide is the Fastrack base?

I think you would be better off useing Gargraves or Atlas for your elevations.

FasTrack is 3.5 inches wide at the base.
