CommunityServer 1.1 issues with Firefox 1.5x?
Posted by pgtr on Monday, September 11, 2006 10:28 PM

Is it just me or does anyone else have problems with the Post New Message textbox? Running Firefox I consistently cannot get the textbox to accept input. After an average of 4-8 refreshes it will work. I've noticed this for many months now and my workaround seems to be to start doing all my posting from IE but use FireFox for everything else (which forces me to keep two browsers open when on the train board). The fact that IE seems to work OK and the fact that Firefox works OK OTHER THAN the textbox suggests the firewall is OK leaving the possibility of a Firefox compatibility issue...?

Anybody else have problems posting with Firefox 1.5x while on the train board?

Can't get curser to go in reply box from SIL's computer and he uses Firefox.  Lots of others on here have had lots of problems with the new software and compatibility.  Good luck.

I use Safari for 100% of my posts EXCEPT when I want to post pics on CTT and then I have to switch to Firefox and type in [img] pic URL etc., it's really tedious and time consuming. I've voiced my concerns to Bob Keller and did receive some advice from him to try and solve the problem, it didn't work.

Bottom line: the folks at CTT don't know how to fix it, they are at the mercy of the IP folks and therein lies the problem. It has to be a budgetary problem for CTT.

I do the same as Jon with Safari. this software doesn't like Safari or Firefox. I use IE when posting. Geez, that's three browsers.

I use Fire Fox without issue.  A bigger thing for me is having to log in before I can even see a reply button.  It's the same with IE.  I just would like to hit reply and then have it prompt me to log in.
