Hello Everyone,
I have a couple of basic questions about track blocks that I thought I would ask the "sages". I have two small loops of Fastrack that are connected with a couple pair of crossovers and a CW transformers powering each loop. I want to be able to operate two trains and be able to have the trains crossover from the inside loop to the outside loop and vice versa. I have 5" isolated block sections on each side of the turnout in the middle of each crossover to isolate the two loops. On the outer loop, I have divided the loop into two blocks with block sections. On these two outside blocks I want to put SPST rocker switches to be able to cut off the power to that block. So I can "park" a train on one side of outside loop, bring the train from the inside loop to the outside loop just behind the first train. Then cut off the power on the track for the second train and then put the power on the first so it can crossover to the inside loop. So if you are still with me here are my questions.
1: Do I connect the A power supply from the tranformer to "line" spade terminal on the rocker switch and then connect the "load" spade terminal on the rocker switch to the middle of the track connection for each of the outside blocks? or vice versa or does it matter?
2: I take it that I just connect one outside rail quick connector to the U connection of the transformers for each block section. Right?
3: Do I need to disconnect only the middle quick connector of each block section or all three quick conncections? (what do the outside rails quick connectors do?)
4: The rocker switches I bought have a Line, Load and Neutral spade connections, do I need to do anything with the Neutral? I rocker switches I have are illuminated.
5: Is there anything I am over looking? I would hate to burn up one of my engines or transformers.
Thanks ahead of time for any advice you can give.

To use two transformers in common you need to hook up a wire from the U post of each transformer together than hook up to the track. Personally I recommend getting a two or four train transformer verses two separate transformers.
To answer Q 2, depends how large your layout is, need to have adational power wires every six feet on tubaler track. Answer to Q 3, disconnect only the middle or center pins.
Rather than SPST I use SPDT switches or DPDT's.
For other questions refer to the instruction booklets from Lionel.

Hey Lee,
Thanks for the help, I got a new set of toggle switches and some terminal blocks and was able to get it to work. Thanks for your advice.
