My favorite is probably the Baltimore and Ohio set. I just think the F3 AB set looks classy, though I don't think the colors and scheme are exactly prototypical from what I've seen of the more elaborate B&O colors on more modern F3 releases. The Set has two operating cars IIRC, and I think it has the bay window caboose which I like.
I do like how colorful the Rio Grande set is. They do say bright colors help sell diesels.
I wish these sets had originally been AA and not AB locomotives.
I also wish that Lionel would sell AA sets of the locomotives seperate from the cars, but then again, how much would lionel charge for them?

All three are nice but the Wabash is my pick.
Don't forget that williams makes some nice postwar style locomotives as well and the price is better.
Some williams locomotives are in my future. and You can get A-B A-A or A-B-A sets
