Hello All
Posted by Cheese on Sunday, August 20, 2006 9:11 AM

Hi,

My name is Cheese (Not Really). I can't say I am new here, because I was here several years ago. Those old timers might know me as Locomotive10. I told some lies and did some wrong stuff that I am ashamed of. I decided to come back and have an honest go at the forums this time. Please, those of you who know me, please forgive me. I am not here to stirr. I'm just here to talk about trains.

Now, lets get down to business. Since I have left I have aquired a few pieces. Nothing special though. Just a Lionel NYC Docksider and a Williams Pennsy GP-9. Also I have aquired some freight cars (Lionel. MTH, K-Line, Williams) and some Passenger Cars (Lionel and Williams).

I'm glad to be back.

Cheese

I don't know you, but everyone deserves a second chance, especially when apologizing for prior offenses. Welcome, hope it all goes well this time. Jake

Welcome Back.  As the good book says, "Let Him who is without sin cast the first stone", I can't, and I don't know you from your prior days here, so I am not to judge.  I do want to extend a hearty e-handshake, and say Hello.

Howdy and welcome back. You've addressed things pretty clearly. Let's move onto having fun with trains!

Hey, I am also now running a Lionel NYC Dockside too! It is a great little locomotive and marks my first Lionel locomotive purchase just for me. I am also running a Williams semi-scale GG1 , Marx 333, Marx 666, and Marx A-B-A Monon F units................ but not all at once as I can only run two trains simultaneously! Smile [:)]

Hmmm,

Thats alot of Marx. I'm not to fond of my Williams GP9. Its a nice engine, but, I do regret buying it some because well, it was one of those moment where you feel like you have to buy something or you'll die, and that was one of them.

I might see about sticking it on e-bay and getting a Lionel NYC RS-3 that was shown in the 2007 preview in the Volume 2 catalog when it comes out next year.

Hello and Welcome Back!

I am one of the "old timers" who does remember you from before.  I'm very happy to forgive and forget.  You're older and wiser now.  I'm pretty sure that everyone (myself included) has done some stupid thing in the past that they regret.

Anyway, it's always good to have someone new (well, not entirely new in your case) joining the forums.  Speaking of talking about trains, tell us more about yours.  Do you have a layout?  Do you have any projects or plans for your trains that you are working on?  Also, where does your username of "Cheese" come from?

I'm greatly looking forward to having you on here and your future contributions.

Hmmm,

Well, other than the Docksider and the GP9, I have a 1970's Lionel set my aunt gave to me in 2001 or 2002 that she purchased off e-bay. Then I have the Lionel Hobo Train that I recieved for Christmas in 2003 in 2004. My passenger cars aren't much really. Just a set of Williams 0-27 Streamliners in Santa Fe Silver and Red and a Set of Lionel Baby Madisons (Southern Green, 2000).

Here is the rest of my stock

1. 5 Boxcars ( 3 Lionel, 1 Williams. All 2000 and up)

2. 3 Hopper Cars ( All Lionel, MPC and Modern)

3. 4 Tank Cars (2 Lionel, 1 MTH)

4. 3 Gondolas (2 Lionel 1 K-Line)

5. 5 Flatcars (3 Lionel, 1 MTH, 1 K-Line)

Thats it, nothing special though. Just what I can afford to buy and gifts from Family and Friends.

Oh, the screen name Cheese came from the sandwich I was eating at the time. It was a Munster Cheese sandwich with 2 slices of Fried Tomatoes on the bottom, a dab of spicy, brown mustard on the topd of the cheese and a Little bit of Texas Pete Sauce under the tomatoes.

It was good. Very good.

Oh,

No I don not have any layout plans or projects at the time. I do the usual track plan sketching when I'm bored, but, I usually do that when I'm at school and in class. Really I have only done it once or twice at home. Its more of a bored in class thing than a home thing.

I'd like to buy a Lionel Postwar 3662 Milk Car set and a 6475 Pickle Vat Car, but, thats not going to happen right away. I might do that around Christmas and wrap them up from me to me (LOL, but come on, I know y'all have done that at least once or twice before).
