Does anyone know much about this deal? I"m from West Virginia and my layout centers around logging, which I do for a living. Thanks for any help, Jake

They were listed in the 1997 MTH catalog.  The locator on the MTH site shows two dealers have them in stock.  I rather doubt that as the MTH locator is usually out of date, but you could give it a try.

TRAIN WORLD BROOKLYN NY 11218
ORIGINAL WHISTLE STOP, INC. PASADENA CA 91107

List when introduced was $1095.00

Keep in mind that they were Proto 1, old technology.

Good luck.

There were also 4 differently numbered log cars to go with this engine.  There was a pack of 3 and then an add-on single.  Sorry I don't have the catalog numbers handy.

There was also a Bobber caboose made for WVP&P.

Those are great pictures but that climax begs for some Dull Coat or wethering, gust a bit.
