Lionel Command Board for the new run C420
Posted by tmcc man on Monday, July 31, 2006 4:55 PM

I have 2 C420's, both new run, with TMCC,  and have an issue with one of them. The command board is fried in one of them. The part is SDK0704. I tested it out in the other C420 with the same result, and I got no sounds from either of the locos. I first thought that it would be the sound board, but I plugged it into the second loco, and it worked fine.

Here is my question, Do I have to order the part directly from Lionel? I asked my friend Rob who works at Nicholas Smith Trains in Broomall, Pa if he stocks them and he said no. Are there any stores that supply mainly command boards for Lionel TMCC engines? Thanks for the help.

Hi Colin- Most likely you will have to order a new board directly from Lionel as most Parts Dealers do not keep these in stock & order them from Lionel whenever they are needed for repairs or customers. This would be the best way to go. Take Care.

Thanks Bob,

I did find this on the Digital Dynamics site, but I don't know if this is the right part.
