I am not completely sure-- others will be able to verify this later-- but I think there is a piece of track that is regular 0 gauge on one end, and fastrack on the other, making it possible to connect fastrack to regular 3 rail pin style track.  Perhaps this is something you could research until someone is able to clarify this more for you.

Sorry, I just re-read your post and you already have the conversion piece- so I posted something you already know.....

If the Fastrack transition track won't fit, I  guess there must be a clearance problem. Why don't you

try a short custom length of regular O track to connect to the transition track? If its a permanent

layout you could hide this with some ballest.

The Fastrack transition track works fine with the small Lionel Drawbridge (my son got this for his birthday) if anyone wants to use this.

thanks for the fix i got it to work with the fastrack transition piece by taking the pins out of one of the ends which it said in the owners manual. thats what i get for not reading that 1st. i guess why they put those things in there. thanks again and until next time peace.
