RRTrack v4.02 vs. new Fastrack book by Robert Schlicher

I was trying out some of the layouts in the the new Lionel Fastrack book by Robert Schleicher in RRTrack version 4.02 when I noticed that things were not meeting end to end.

I was shocked to find out that RRTrack rendering of the layouts and the track list don't match up...tracks don't meet according to RRTrack software.

At first I thought it was a error in the book, but many of the layout plans including reverse loops, ovals with figure eights, and many more don't connect according to RRTrack and different track choices would be needed to make ends meet.

Obviously, both RRTRack and the book can't be right and without having the switches to phyically prove if its a problem with RRTRack software or some errors in the book, I'm asking the forum to take a quick look. I used RRTrack version 4.02 to render the fastrack layout in the book of an oval with a figure eight inside on page 104. I chose this one because it simple and it demonstrates my point. I could have easily chosen the O36 reverse loop as well, and the layout on page 67 with 2 reverse loops.

If I use just the track list from the book, there is a gap in the outter oval between the two straight switches. RRTrack lets me close that gap by using other track choices between the switches. Can anyone confirm that the author is right and RRTrack has some bugs?

I don't have the book but I used RRTrack to design my 8x12 layout with Fastrack. RRTrack took time trying different size pieces to get them to connect on the program. When I set it up on the floor, it fit like a glove. I would say that the RRTrack program is accurate.
