I don't know how you rug runners do it. I just put down new floors in two rooms and it took a week before I could stand up straight again. Gettin old is hell I guess.

Cute dogs and "other half". Nice floor layout. Sounds like you've got a pretty huge space to work with. My space is only 5 feet by 9 feet but it still lots of fun. I'll be interested to see how your track plan progresses.

You might want to check the Sunday Photo Fun thread, there's link for posting pictures. I think tht you need to put that long string copied from Shutterfly, between the images tags that are in the forum code. The image tags look like {img} your long string{/img} except you use [ and ] instead of the { and }.

I love the layout! Will this be permanent/semi-permanent? How long did it take to set up? I look forward to seeing more.

that layout was not permanent it was actually in my sisters extra room above the garage. as you can see my nephews wooden thomas train set in between my layout. that layout had to be moved because my nephew wanted his play room back. so i had to sacrifice either the room or sleeping on the streets until my house got finished being built. it took me about 30 minutes to put that track layout together cause the fastrack is rather easy to put to put together, but i would say it took me almost an hour to get the elevated part up an running because of all the small pieces you have to put together. the only thing about this picture is that i had some great memories playing with this layout. unfortunately it had to be dismantled because my nephew wanted his play room back. the good thing about that is that now i have him, my other nephew and my niece always wanting to come to uncle reggie's house to play with the trains. hey thats pretty good being that they are all 5 yrs old and love trains. i've already got the new train hobbiest and they dont even no what they have gotten themselves into at a young age. cant wait to get it up and running.

So it's fastrack, and looks like 36 inch radius turns - hope you can post some pics of your current layout soon! It's great when the kids get involved too.
