Selling my trains
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 8:24 AM
It is with great sadness that I must sell my Lionel trains. I am looking for interested people to inquire about my trains but these are not really for collectors. I have no boxes for my trains since these trains are trains for enjoying and not for looking at. They are in great condition and all but one are steam engines. Three are pre-war and the rest are post war with one, never been run, NIB mpc. If anyone is interested, please respond to this post.

This forum doesn't have a buy/sell board, and selling is frowned upon here.

However, being a post war operator, you are welcome to email me through this forum. [:D]

I am sorry for the illegal post. Was not my intention to usurp the rules. I just wasn't thinking straight. [8]

Must be something in the water in Ohio Chief, seems like when you cross the state line, you leave your sense of humor at the border.

There is also a shortage of stray dogs and cats, whch would lead me to want to stick to rice if at all possible. [dinner]

No question you will get maximum return (and maximum hassle) by listing individual items on ebay. Use reserve if you have decent items you do not want to give away. The prices fetched on ebay often exceed book value. You might consider large lots of items (especially track) if you want to minimize hassle but selling individual items usually brings highest bids.

I would also be interested to learn what you have for sale
Please email me at zakstrains@sbcglobal.net

Thank You

Also about ebay, keep in mind that the seller pays to list and pays again when an item is won.
