Chuck, That is a nice looking CNJ Trainmaster. Lionel or williams?

Don't know if anyone will find it interesting buy I am building a stock yard for the layout and took a few progress photos.

That CNJ Trainmaster is a Williams. The first engine that I bought
from them in 1997. Looks and runs great.
I think a stock yard is a great idea. With a lot of stock cars.

Chuck, I have a Williams Trainmaster in the other CNJ colors (green and yellow) that I bought on ebay some time ago. It was new and runs great. May convert it to TMCC. I love Tainmasters, have 4 of them.

As for the stockyard, I only have room for two stock cars on the siding were I am going to place the stockyard, but can keep a few in operation also.

I got them last Thanksgiving. You just haven't seen everything in the closet, yet.

Got near enough finishing the $5.00 project to post a few photos.

This is a pool hall with a questionable enterprise upstairs. I built it from stuff I had laying around. The goal being to keep the cost of materials under $5.00. Not counting the lights, which I would have to buy for a kit anyway, this is probably under $2.00.

Frank, very creative! I'm gonna study your "how to build it" link later today. Much appreciated; wish everyone would include explanations to help others

Nice photos all with the B&W photos and night scenes; not just better layouts but better photography all the way around!

HOT over the weekend so just poured 2” thick concrete on the other side of the warehouse—my first road!!! I built it like a sidewalk; sand, added rebar and then poured quickcrete; so can walk on it too!

Actually a parking area for trucks loading on the other side (still have to add some delivery doors).

The area is under the deck so it gets shade 23 hours a day so I don’t see a problem with paint fading. I’m leaving my die cast trucks and other vehicles outside all year and spraying WD-40 on the underside to slow rust. Some rust and weathering, however, is highly desireable.

Also earlier in the week I got the warehouse spur in place so ALL trackwork for phase 1 is now in place (but needs adjusting, tamping, sealing etc).
