1960 era Athearn Rolling Stock

I have about 1200 Athearn assorted rolling stock items, mostly box cars, 40 and 50 footers. Have the boxes for many of the cars, and about 200 of the kits have not been assembled yet. I was reading a Athearn Guide that stated most of the cars I have are OUT OF PRODUCTION and rated as RARE or HARD TO FIND.
I'd like to sell some of these cars as I'm getting up there in age and the kids have no interest in model railroading. Can anyone give me an idea of a fair price for these types of cars? I can be emailed at jxrr@aol.com

I have no info on values / prices for your cars. However, Kalmbach might have a book in its Greenberg series that can answer your questions.

Also, you might consider selling them on e-bay. They have a whole model RR category & lots of stuff for sale.

Good luck!
