I got a train-set of Lima. Can someone tell me how popular is Kima and how reliable are its products?[?]

Hello Uris I am not sure if Lima is into O gauge but their HO equipment I stayed away from. I compare their product to Life Like lower end line.

I can say that my plastic O gauge Lima LMS 0-6-0 is the best plastic British outline steam engine that I have! Of course, its the only plastic O gauge steamer I have. [:o)]

I'd say the O gauge Lima equipment I have is basic, entry-level stuff, but the astonishing prices it gets on eBay is driven by the fact that its the only affordable entry-level UK-outline gear on the market (even if it is no longer made).

If anyone wants to see the Lima 0-6-0, I shot it for a review video for a UK sound accessory by Remtrack. The video is on line over in reviews.

I have to admit that this is one line I never heard of before. I guess you learn something new everyday.

Yes that's the LMS Class 4F 0-6-0.
Lima is or rather was Italian. They did a small O gauge range. They also
made HO American/European and a OO gauge British outline range.

They were taken over by Hornby and the HO items are now marketed as
Hornby International.

Lima were one of the Big three OO manufactures together with Hornby and
Bachmann.

Think of them as a K-Line, there last 00 gauge model was state of the art.
But I guess the expense of development hurt them.
I never thought they were as well made as Hornby but my old Lima Class 52
Western Diesel Hydraulic go's well enough.
