Does a list of Catalogs Exist?
Posted by corton on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 9:16 PM
Getting back into trains a few months ago, I thought I'd buff up my catalog collection.

It seems that in the '90s Lionel had all kinds of catalog runs. Some were traditional, some collectors, some Vol I / II / III, some heritage, some classic, some preview, etc.

As an example, for 1999, I have Heritage, Preview, Vol I, Vol II, and Vol III. That's 5 that I know of.

So my question is, does anyone have a year-by-year list of what catalogs were produced so that I know what I'm missing?

Most of the compendiums I've found only go up to about 1969. I'm mostly interested in the newer years from 1970 and on, since that's when it appears there was so much confusion.

Many thanks to any help from y'all...

Since there are collectors there must be a listing somewhere, or maybe a collectors' website. Check the want ads in the back of CTT and OGR, maybe there's someone looking to buy/sell cats that can give you some info.
