PURE RUMOR - Is Lionel Shipping any Product?
Posted by jimhaleyscomet on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 11:12 AM
I spoke with a local hobby shop person and was told Lionel (Not the distributer) has shipped little if any product since the first of the year. We all know about the fastrak shortage.

Is this true? Is so what is up? Is another shoe about to fall?

I'm looking at an order sheet with due dates on it. There is a very small amount of stuff scheduled for March/April, but the bulk of the arrivals I see are from May to October.

I wouldn't read anything into it. Their big push would have been pre-Christmas delivery.

I've been tracking a Lionel UP GP-30 that I preordered. They made a partial shipment in February (my dealer didn't get any) and, per TALK TO US, an additional shipment was made March 31. Haven't heard from my dealer yet, though.

Go to www.lionel.com, then to customer service and shipping schedule. If you are looking for a specific item you can enter that number and search; or you can scan the entire schedule.

A local hobby shop here in the suburbs of Chicago also got a large shipment of Lionel stuff last week.

Judging from that list Jon posted, they're doing okay on the shipping front.

Yes Lionel is shipping , my LHS has been receiving A LOT , the past 2 days , he is unpacking and stacking . Received my NEW Southern FT diesel in green , looks nice with my Southern streamline pass train , have been waiting on this diesel to match and pull the streamliner train . I am pleased .
